Are you looking to make meaningful and impacting changes to your life? Are you finding life to be more difficult than you would like? You should recognize that you have already taken the first step toward building a stronger you and more hopeful tomorrow. I am available to work with you to establish a supportive team as you embark on your personal journey. My name is Stephanie, and I am currently working as a Therapist-in-Training, as I pursue my Licensure as Mental Health Counselor. I have my Master’s in School Counseling and have been working in this field for several years now. I have a strong background working with young children, adolescents, and young families.
My therapeutic approach is client focused with a strong emphasis on establishing skills that will empower clients through their process. I utilize a combination of methods and strategies that are individualized to best support each client. Typical and effective ideologies in my practice include CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused, and Trauma-Informed Care. My goal is to create and foster a safe environment that encompasses trust, transparency, and compassion.
In session, we will address current topics and challenges that the client may face. My motivation is to provide strategies and continuous dialogue to help individuals and families build on effective diagnosis and self-regulation. Past experiences, including those that the client deems traumatic, current challenges, and future goals will be explored with the client remaining an active participant in the process.
My professional focus is to help build a community that prioritizes mental health and normalizes discussions and resources to those in need. I will work to bring accessible and affordable mental health care and other resources to communities. My experience lies in areas that include trauma, grief, anxiety and depression, autism spectrum disorders, borderline personality disorder, relationships and families, and school challenges. I am open to the concept of establishing my own private practice but am not opposed to partnering with an organization that shares similar therapeutic values.
