Hi there! My name is Patricia and I am a second-year master’s degree student in the Mental Health Counseling Program at Queens College. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Hunter College.
Therapy is a meaningful step towards the journey to self-discovery. It can be difficult however, it provides opportunities to understand emotions, thoughts, patterns and behaviors. My goal is to provide a space with compassion, dedication, and support in order to help my clients, in their own capacity, to heal and thrive. To provide a place where they can feel safe and have their voice heard.
I use a couple of different modalities depending on what the client needs because every client is unique. I usually gravitate towards a client-centered approach and implement cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT). However, I will adapt and tailor my therapeutic approach depending on what the client needs and what the best fit is. I am committed to providing a safe, judgment free space and help my clients grow and get themselves into a healthier place.
