Hi there! I’m Maggie Lindley. I’m a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Masters student at St. Bonaventure University, slated to graduate in 2025. I am currently completing my internship hours with Sol Health and I am so excited to do this work to help my clients draw upon their innate resilience and strength so that they feel empowered and equipped with tangible tools for their life’s journey with its many mountains and valleys.
Through experiencing the birth of my first child, I discovered my passion for advocating for new mothers experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) and started Mindful Mamas, a peer support program for mothers in the workplace. Through this work, I have honed my ability to provide individuals with a safe space where they are truly seen and heard and allowed to explore themselves on a deeper level. I apply much of what I have learned in my experience supporting new mothers to working with any patient who is experiencing a life transition, adjusting to something new and difficult, or dealing with stress, depression, and/or anxiety.
I use concepts such as radical acceptance, mindfulness, self-compassion, and emotional observation to help increase self-awareness, agency, and self-love. I also use a solution-focused, person-centered approach and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), which enhances traditional cognitive behavioral therapy by incorporating mindfulness practice through the five senses and meditation. I believe that learning has no end and I always seek to gain understanding through curiosity and empathy.
I am a mother to two young children and wife to my husband of six years. Together, we enjoy hiking, going to the farmers market, and fixing up our 1970s home in Mansfield, CT.
