Linlin Fan, LCSW began her academic journey studying Psychology and Communication in Mainland China before pursuing graduate studies in Communication in Hong Kong. She worked as a financial journalist for several years, but her passion for social work led her to change careers.
She moved to the U.S. to pursue her MSW at NYU, where she started her journey in clinical social work. After graduation, Linlin worked as a therapist at an outpatient mental health clinic in NYC before relocating to the Bay Area. She spent another year working at a hospital in California before establishing her private practice. In addition to her clinical work, Linlin is currently pursuing her doctorate in Clinical Social Work at the University of Pennsylvania.
Linlin specializes in working with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, complicated grief, and trauma. She is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and has completed advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Complicated Grief Treatment Level 2 from Columbia University.
