Entering my final year in my graduate studies as a Mental Health Counselor at New York Institute of Technology, I find this an exciting opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills I have been accruing for several years. My areas of specialty include working with clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma and issues with anger. My approach includes empathetic listening as well as cognitive behavioral therapy combined with mindfulness practices. My 8 year career as a yoga teacher also allows me to weave in specific practices like somatic healing, guided meditation and breathwork into my counseling sessions.
