Hi there! My name is Jaqueline Quezada and I am a second-year master’s degree student in the Mental Health Counseling Program at Hunter College. My journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Human Development & Family Science, which has deeply shaped my understanding of human behavior and relationships. This educational foundation has been incredibly valuable as I embark on this hands-on experience in the field of mental health.
My greatest aspiration is to create a therapeutic environment where my clients feel safe and welcomed, allowing them to fully engage in their healing and personal growth. During our session together, my goal is for clients to explore their inner selves and openly discuss their challenges. By fostering such an environment, I aim to help them navigate their difficulties and work towards improving their day-to-day lives. I hope through our collaborative efforts, clients can gain valuable insights and make meaningful progress towards their goals.
I am dedicated to integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychoanalysis, and person-centered therapy to best support my clients. I have had experience working with individuals facing various challenges, including anxiety, ADHD, and PTSD. I am eager to continue learning and expanding my knowledge of various therapeutic approaches to better tailor my support to meet the needs of each of my clients.
