Hello, it's great to meet you! I'm Isabelle, a therapist-in-training pursuing my MSW degree at Hunter College. In practice, I utilize an integrative therapeutic approach with a focus on psychodynamic theory, mindfulness and the strengths based perspective. I’d like to empower clients to grow confidence and self esteem, while simultaneously learning how to cope and self regulate their emotions. Growing up training in dance, I also love to incorporate play therapy as well as art and movement related exercises, as a tool for therapeutic breathwork and groundedness. Ultimately, this serves to create a safe holding environment where clients feel compelled to share more authentically and explore challenging topics. To this end, I hope to inspire clients’ rights to self determination, agency and power over their own healing processes.
In the long term, I hope to continue working with the youth and adolescent population, combat stigmas around seeking mental health treatment and advocate for more accessible and equitable health and mental health care in New York City.
