Hi there! My name is Connie Yew and I am a therapist-in-training pursuing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. As an Asian American with a strong academic foundation in general psychology, I also earned my bachelor’s degree in the field, which ignited my passion for understanding human behavior and supporting individuals through life’s challenges. My educational journey has provided me with a solid theoretical understanding of mental health and the tools to build meaningful therapeutic relationships.
I am deeply committed to helping individuals navigate their mental health challenges. I am passionate about creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard and understood. My approach is rooted in empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a dedication to fostering resilience and healing in those she works with. I believe in the importance of tailoring interventions to each client’s unique experiences and strengths, ensuring that their path to well-being is both collaborative and empowering.
As I continue my training, I am eager to grow as a clinician and make a lasting impact on the lives of my future clients. I look forward to building strong therapeutic alliances and contributing to the mental health field with compassion and integrity. My ultimate goal is to support individuals in achieving personal growth, enhancing their quality of life, and finding hope even in the face of adversity.
