Thanks for dropping by. I’m a therapist-in-training with experience treating individuals diagnosed with ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, depression disorders (MDD, PDD), and generalized anxiety. I love the privilege of working with creative, insightful individuals who are seeking a more precise understanding of self, core beliefs, and areas of desired change. Based on what you find useful, we’ll incorporate any number of techniques, including modalities like CBT and DBT- as well as (if desired) existential, artistic, spiritual, and humanistic approaches.
You might have heard the expression that healing is nonlinear- as your clinician, I feel really strongly that therapy is best when it’s unrushed, and it’s really important that it happens at your own pace and comfort. My take on therapy is that it’s for examining thoughts without bypassing feelings. It’s predicated on excavation of self, a lot of self-compassion, and willingness to closely turn over complex ideas as if in the palms of your hands. From me, you can expect warmth, investment, and- where appropriate- even humor to support increased perspective. This highly personalized process is, I believe, one of the best efforts any of us can make for our health.
I’m in the last year of my MSW program at Columbia, where my focus is on treating young adults and adolescents. My clinical work today is preceded by 10 years working in university recruiting for Meta and TikTok and as an administrator for universities. I earned a BA in literature at Yale, where my favorite part of books was doing character analysis- which in retrospect feels very on-brand for a therapist. For fun I’m an amateur stone sculptor, pop culture lover, and pet parent to Penny, a dachshund who is napping next to me as I write this. Maybe you’ll meet her in session sometime- I am certainly looking forward to meeting you.
