Hello! My name is Charlotte, a first year Clinical Master's in Social Work student at Columbia University. I also have my Bachelor of Arts in History and Psychology from Colgate University. My pronouns are she/her. I am passionate about helping individuals cope through various life transitions, relationships, and other personal needs that come up during this time. My areas of specialty include anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, self care, and many of the other issues that you face while in undergrad. I am working towards my LCSW and my goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable to be yourself and feel supported by me.
During our sessions, I draw from a variety of therapeutic techniques such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, mindfulness, and other client centric approaches. It is important to me that our sessions and therapy is personalized to you and fits your unique preferences, needs, and goals so you are able to get out of therapy what you need. My goal is to create an environment where you feel safe, heard, and respected as we work together to help you navigate your experiences and what is going on.
I am here to help empower you to develop the coping skills you need, discuss experiences you are going through, and help you navigate whatever you have going on that you would like to discuss. I look forward to working together and supporting you along the journey!
