Being a human in this beautiful and overwhelming world can feel like a full-time job! Taking the time to care for ourselves and explore our inner landscapes often feels like a luxury on top of all of our other responsibilities. As a therapist-in-training, I’m here to help you tap into the wisdom within you. I believe in compassion-centered and trauma-informed care that empowers you to discover who you are, challenge unhealthy thought patterns and narratives, and curate a toolbox of research-based coping skills and strategies to live a meaningful and joy-filled life.
I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach, and as an educator of over fifteen years who has worked with students in early childhood through university in the United States and internationally, I continuously seek to find ways to humanize the systems that are here to serve us. I want you to know that you are already whole! I identify as neurodivergent, and I believe in neurodiversity-affirming practices, as well as the importance of exploring how oppressive systems and structures impact our wellness so we can create a more inclusive and loving world for everyone.
During our sessions, we will create a supportive plan to accomplish your goals for our time together. I’m passionate about using somatic practices to reconnect with our bodies, mindfulness as a way to break free from our ruminations and develop a felt sense of interconnectedness, and a variety of other modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), art integration, nature-based healing, play, literature/poetry, and relational/person-centered care.
My credentials include:
• Bachelors in Psychology and Special Education
• Master’s in Education
• Certifications: Trauma Informed Specialist, Peer Support Facilitator, Mindfulness, Somatic attachment therapy, Somatic abolitionism
• Second-year student in Columbia University’s part-time MSW in Advanced Clinical Practice
I am happy you are here and look forward to getting to know you.
